Reading, reading & reading :-)
Alhamdulillah I
have been busy reading with my children. By the time they go to sleep I am
totally exhausted and don’t really feel like updating my blog. But I created
this blog to keep a journal of our home education experience. Insha-Allah I hope
to write at least once every
week. Alhamdulillah I have been reading to them from the very beginning when
they were only couple of months old. They love books, even baby Y brings a book
to me during bedtime Alhamdulillah. If they see their parents are reading most
of time, they are bound to love reading too. At the end of the day, kids love
copying their parents. So our
role as parents is very crucial. Its huge responsibility and we need to do our
best to be the good role-models inshaAllah.
I want them to be
good readers inshAllah. When they grow up, I hope and make dua that they become
good thinkers and writers InshAllah!
This week we have
busy reading some Oxford Reading Tree books which I bought from the
Noor-ul-Islam summer fete at a bargain price alhamdulillah. MashAllah they have
enjoying the books. My son and daughter can recognise letters alhamdulillah. Our baby Y was given a bookstart pack last week so they read those books couple of times. As a treat when i was coming back from the surgery, i bought some books for them. They have enjoyed reading the books. There was also a book fair near I's nursery so I bought some books from there.
