Summer 2012

This Summer I took Ifti to the nursery and Aalia & Eesa to the Children Centre. Most of the times after the sessions, we went to the park. I think we really enjoyed the summer of this year, alhamdulillah.

Trip to the Whipsnade zoo

Bismillah In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Loving, the Most Forgiving   Alhamdulillah we went to the Whipsnade zoo for the first time. We really had a great time watching the animals. We also went on the steam train. It was a rainy day but we were quite well prepared alhmadulillah. We hope we can go there again inshAllah.   Apparently lions sleep most of the day!     Fantastic Flamingos  Our first ride on a steam engine Alhamdulillah, loved the smell :-) I love the smell of oil, petrol etc .   Humble elephants...       We loved the sea lions. Kids really enjoyed listening to their sounds. We have learnt to sound like them. I just love their smooth skin mashAllah. Apparently the male ones are very loud and territorial.   Beautiful butterflies...what an amazing creation of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala! I took a lot of photos of them.       ...

Let us the Muslim parents walk the talk!

Bismillah..In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Giving Alhamdulillah today while researching for the Aaila magazine , I came across this excellent talk by Sheikh Yasir Qadhi. MashAllah he is an amazing speaker with so much knowledge of the faith. I feel so blessed to be able to benefit from his work, alhamdulillah. This talk is about parenting. He talks about how we can raise our children as good Muslims. This beautiful reminder has inspired me to think and write about this topic. Parenting with Purpose & by Example by Sh. Yasir Qadhi Children are amazing blessings. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala teaches us that our children are our adornment on this earth. Just imagine a world without the children! They bring so much joy in our life, alhamdulillah.  We can reach the higher levels of jannah (garden of paradise) through investing in our children. How many of us really reflect on this fact? Imran's first Lego movie

Alhamdulillah Imran made his first short movie with Lego with the help of his chacha (uncle) and chachi (aunt) at their flat. He is really happy with his movie. I hope he will enjoy his journey as a movie maker inshAllah and make some great movies inshAllah.
