August update

Bismillah... In the name of Allah the Most-Merciful

Alhamdulillah we have been quite busy this month. Arabic and French classes going quite well alhamdulillah. Kids are settled now. Although I am not really happy with the French lessons, I may pull them out in September and carry on sending them for the Arabic lessons on weekends. The Arabic lessons are quite well-planned mashAllah. They are using Arabic Made Easy Foundation 1 book (My little world) and the handwriting book from the same series. They are learning new words in every session. 

For Qur'anic Arabic, they are using Ahsanul Qawayid. I have met the teachers last week. They are very friendly mashAllah, especially the Arabic teacher. She suggested that our kids should watch Arabic kids channels so that they can get used to Arabic pronunciation. I am watching Jeem channel Sky 823 with them and trying to translate as much as possible. It is quite an westernized channel, I must admit. I need some good Muslim channels so that kids can learn more about their faith inshAllah. 

They also pray zuhr salah with their teacher alhamdulillah. They are learning different names of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. They are also learning Khutbatul Haja. I need to keep practicing with them.

As homework, they have to do quite a lot of handwriting. I think it is very important as it helps them with their motor skill. Both of them are a bit uncomfortable with holding their pen properly.

Kids started this course on 9th of Ramadan (Thursday 18th of July) and had 5 sessions already, alhamdulillah. They are learning a beautiful nasheed "Hayati kulluha lillah" . You can listen to it here. I really love the lyrics. Mashallah really well-said.
